An East Bay Gem: Garin Regional Park

GARIN PARK:: An amazing park full of activities and places to explore!

LOCATION: Garin Regional Park Cattlemen’s Picnic Area 1320 Garin Avenue Hayward, CA

The summer Park Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is a visitor center where you can learn more about Garrin Park and its history- there are hiking trails,, a kite flying area, horse back riding trails, native plants garden and many other features. MROSD Nature Center


We wait for the Nature Center opening! It is so much fun to visit this place. You might come with a school class or on your own.

Right now, the staff and volunteers are doing a Spring Cleaning at the Nature Center. The students that come during the week will enjoy all the updates and special touches that the staff has added to the nature center.

Field Trip

Families love to enjoy the Nature center on the week-ends. There are so many interactive exhibits, and there is always a docent on hand to answer questions.
Come enjoy the pond, picnic area and nature center. This area is full of birds, history, and nice walks and vistas.

In the Nature Center, you’ll get to meet TWIX, a gopher snake that has become a friend to many grade-schoolers on the field trips.

Snacks and a lively day await you and your family! Take a pond prowl and investigate what lurks beneath the waters of Alpine Pond, visit with our resident snake Twix and explore the natural habitats of the surrounding area.
