Environmental Art
There are more artists that think globally and environmentally about their art, their vision, material, staging, energy use, and interacting with the public. Isn’t that the best message? Create something that speaks out about our oneness, our earth, our survival — very inspiring!
- The LAND / ART project is inspired by nature. It is worth checking out: landartnm.org. In one exhibit, a four-acre corn maze is growing, with the design based on ancient native designs.
- Bowls formed from local clay, contain seeds that will sprout as the rains come to the desert, in another installation.
- Lynne Hull of Fort Collins, CO has made her art double as a wildlife refuge.
