Researcher Elizabeth Nisbet suggests the findings have broader implications for well-being and mental health

Eco-designer, Kirsten Flynn, is giving a class for the Palo Alto Adult School entitled: “Green Interior Design- The Nuts and Bolts” Wednesday Oct 15 and 22 time is 7-9pm. Located at 50 Embarcadero Rd, PA High School, Room 306 [register first]. Kristen’s web site tells more about her experience and references.
She suggests learning about the materials and asking questions about techniques, products, use, and alternatives. She picks Reclaim, a store in Menlo Park as a good resource. Other easy choices include low VOC paint, generally picking products w/o the nasty chemicals for any selection.
To learn more and build green skills – - -There is a organization that certifies green designers – Build it Green in Berkeley. Build it Green has programs and services, links, and green home tours. Canada College also offers interior design classes.
